How it works
The tile count is the area divided by the footprint of one tile plus its grout joint. A waste allowance covers cuts and breakage, and the result is rounded up to whole boxes.
How to measure
Measure the length and width of the floor or wall. Split irregular rooms into rectangles, calculate each, and add them up.
Tips
- Buy from a single production lot; color can vary between lots.
- Large-format tiles waste more in cuts; use 12–15% instead of 10%.
- Keep a few spare tiles so a cracked one can be replaced later.
